
Newark Netball Club Code of Conduct
Participants
This code of conduct helps us create a fun, safe, and positive environment for everyone at Newark Netball Club. By participating, you agree to follow these guidelines:
Sportsmanship:
• Be a good teammate: Encourage, support, and celebrate your teammates' successes.
• Respect your opponents: Play fair, shake hands after games, and congratulate them on their performance.
• Treat officials with respect: Accept their decisions and avoid arguing. Respect:
• Be kind and respectful to everyone involved: Coaches, teammates, opponents, officials, and spectators.
• Use positive language: No swearing, put-downs, or insults.
• Listen to your coaches and follow instructions: They are here to help you improve!
Effort and Commitment:
• Come to practice prepared and on time: Give your best effort and participate actively.
• Learn from your mistakes: Practice makes progress!
• Communicate with your coaches if you have any concerns or questions in a polite manner.
Safety:
• Follow safety rules and wear proper sportswear: This helps prevent injuries. Including the removal of jewellery, watches and wrist bands.
• Be aware of your surroundings and avoid unsafe behaviour.
• Let your coach know if you feel unwell or injured.
Additional Points:
• Take care of club equipment: Treat it with respect. Do not kick netballs!
• Mobile phones: participants will be asked to store them in the mobile phone box. We don not allow them during sessions.
• Be a role model for younger members: Show good sportsmanship and positive behaviour.
• Have fun! Sports are a great way to learn new skills, make friends, and stay healthy.
Remember: We are all here to learn, improve, and enjoy playing sports together. If you see someone not following the code of conduct, let a coach or another adult know.
